Pandora tagged me!

A meme of fives. I love these. Thanks, Pandora!

Five Light Reads
*Any of the Harry Potter books - Okay, so they are children's books, but I know entirely too many grownups out there who read them, so hush.
*The Mitford Series by Jan Karon - I highly recommend these books. My darling mother and sister got me started on them, even though I resisted for quite awhile. Mitford is a quaint little town that everyone wishes they could live in and the books revolve around the town in general, but mainly chronicle the story of Father Tim, an Episcopal priest. No profanity, no sex, just wholesome reading. (One would wonder why I'd be drawn to them, but even I need a break occasionally.)
*Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery - I started reading Anne when I was in 6th grade and became instantly hooked. I always wanted to be a redhead and I was just so captivated with this child. To this day I dearly love to read about Anne. I own every book L.M. Montgomery wrote.
*Insomnia by Stephen King - One of his best. Not typical horror, more fantasy and I always, always cry at the end.
*Watership Down by Richard Adams - Just good. Not really anything else to say but that.

Five Reads to Make Me Think
*The Bible - I love nothing more than a good Bible study.
*"The Time is Noon" by Pearl S. Buck - This book touched me in such a place that I found myself in a deep state of thought for days after finishing it. Ms. Buck really captured the essence of the main character's soul and her journey for meaning. So many times I had wondered "Is this all there is?" and to read a book that asked the same question . . . it really had a profound effect on me.
*"The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger - I have so many passages in this book highlighted! I continually find things in it that I hadn't caught before.
*"The Bridges of Madison County" by Robert James Waller - I dehydrate when I read this book. You can't help but wonder about your choices when you read it.
*"The Notebook" by Nicholas Sparks - Love, plain and simple.

Five Songs Which Turn Me On
*"Purple Rain" by Prince. (Just hearing that song to this day, gets me in the mood for a little sum'n sum'n. Even when I'm a little ol' lady I'll be gettin' my groove on to this song.)
*"You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This" by Toby Keith
*"You Look Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton (What I wouldn't give to have a man dedicate this song to me. Even if it was my husband, that'd be okay, too.)
*"I Melt" by Rascal Flatts
*"Sweet Child O Mine" by Guns n Roses (I was 16, I was in love. It was the only tape we had in the car.)

Five Best Movie Dramas
*Penny Serenade - Cary Grant and Irene Dunn. *sigh* Need a tear-duct cleansing? Watch this movie. But for the love of God, don't watch it if you are pregnant, have a newborn, have PMS or have just had a bad day with your children.
*Steel Magnolias - So it's corny, but I still love it.
*The Bridges of Madison County - Not as good as the book, but still enough to make me bawl for hours afterward.
*Beaches - Something about those movies you watch when you're a teenager. They just stick with ya.
*Shakespeare in Love - It's more than just a drama, but I had already put in an extra comedy so I stuck it here. Why do I like it? Gwyneth. Duh.

Five Six Best Movie Comedies
*Napoleon Dynamite - I really needn't say more.
*The Breakfast Club - Classic Brat Pack
*Sixteen Candles - I *heart* Molly Ringwald.
*10 Things I Hate About You - I know I'm a grownup, but I can't help but like it. I think it's Heath Ledger singing to her from the bleachers that keeps me coming back.
*Much Ado About Nothing - (Yes, Anna the one with Denzel!) - Just too good. Too damn good.
*How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days - Occasionally I'm a sucker for a good romance. This one makes me laugh hysterically. Especially when she makes him blow his nose and talks about their "love fern".

Five Next Victims Willing Participants
*Jersey Girl
*April
*Irish Divinity
*Small Town Starlit
*Sam the girl

Dammit. I thought I was safe until I read "the girl" after Sam. *sighs* I'll see what I can do to please/appease you.

Sam the girl- Sam the guy had already been tagged and my 6 year old Sam can only read and write up to 8 letter words. Plus his favorite book is Diary of a Worm and his favorite CD is KidzBop7 - things I already knew.

Suck it up, sister. :D

Scrapper-Me too! It's always been one of my faves.

Eric Clapton and Penny Serenade - that's where's it at Baby! We share much more than just living in Okieville.

Babs- FINALLY someone who knows Penny Serenade! I've never come across anyone who's seen it except my mother and sister. It's so good. So sad, but so good.

We'll just call ourselves Okies with class, how that sound?

We....the people
