I am the kind of person who needs continuity, routine, organization. Right now I just don't have much of that because I don't have to. Starting next week, I have to because the kids start school. And I'm glad. Week after that I have to even more because my school will be back in session again.
Strangely, I am really looking forward to this semester and I cannot figure out why. I have Algebra (which still kind of makes me wish I had a prescription for Xanax) and Macroeconomics (a subject which I am still unsure as to what it actually is...anyone care to clear that up for me?) and I'm working 20 hours at one job and 5 at another (whoo, five, I'll try not to pull something), plus I still have a husband and three kids to take care of. Yet, I'm excited??? I'm nuts.

I started macro my first semester and ended up dropping it. I think, if I remember, it pertains to world wide finances and concepts??? There was a LOT of terminology to learn. I dropped my business major so i dont need it now. Wish I could graduate without ever taking math
I can understand the need to get back to a routine - it makes you feel busy and unsluggish.

Economics is essentially why people make the choices they do, and how they can make best use of scarce resources. Macro looks at the big picture - how economies work and grow. There's a fair bit of terminology to learn, and lots of graphs (economists love them some graphs) but it's a fascinating course.
I've got a minor in Econ, so any questions you want to toss my way, I'll be happy to field.
I understand completely. Being back at work this week seemed like a relief -- I need to stay busy too. Even beach bums need to work.
I wish I were looking forward to some routine to return to my life.
I really make a great couch potato but the pay just isn't any good. I have to start going to bed before midnight and getting up before 9-10. Yikes!!! I know, I know, I do it every year; when will I learn!!!
I had to take economics back in the day. I remember nothing at all except that I wrote a paper over Sidney Friedman and wound up with a B in the class. MSSU's president, Julio Leon, was my teacher. THAT WAS A LONG TIME AGO!!I don't know why you have to take economics but I would check with the school I am attending next and make sure it was necessary before I jumped in. We word people are not usually really into that stuff.
