I've been so dang busy lately that I haven't had a chance to tell all of Blogdom -
Mr. Diva quit his job at Wal*Mart!!!
He is now employed by Buffalo Run Casino.
The decision wasn't made hastily. He works a less desirable schedule for now. He also took a paycut by leaving the Big W, but he's already a happier person. A completely different person, to be honest. If you've never had a job that you hate going to every day, or been married to someone who hates their job, you probably don't have a clue what we've endured these last few years. If you've ever hated your job you know exactly what I'm talking about. He turned in his two weeks notice on Monday and because his boss turned bitch on him he went ahead and just took two weeks of vacation. (Hey, she's the one who started playing nasty.) He's already a different person. I kind of like him.
Case in point: He went to town today to pick up dog and catfood, diazinon for the front yard and some sugar. He came home with all of that - plus three Michael Buble' CDs for me.
I want him to get a new job every day.
I was born a semi-diva. I married a redneck. Through the magic of osmosis or just because of a serious lack of sophistication over the years I have found a balance of the two that make me who I am today. And then I write about it all, much to the chagrin of my mother.

Must be the alignment of the Moon and the Stars or sumthin'..my hubby quit his job too a few weeks ago and now has just been re-employed by a place he worked for a few years ago.
I hope it's not his job to throw out drunken Divas when they get out of hand. And will he get a paycheck or credit?
Cazzie!!, mine has threatened to quit his job for three years. I don't know what made him actually decide to do it all of a sudden! Of course, the paycut isn't going to be so great since it's summer and I'm lower on daycare kids than I am during the school year...but as long as he stays happy we'll be okay. I hope. :)
Cedric, actually that is his job and I have every intention of testing his job skills the first chance I get. That's where I wanna meet up with you and Cap'n Neurotic!
Thankfully he gets an actual check. And he can't gamble there anymore. Which at first I thought to be a blessing. But already, he's scoped out a new place to play. Dammit.
I can understand you husbands change for the better since he left WM....I worked for the home office for 2 years as an insurance adjuster, it made me crazy (really!) I finally resigned when I was tired of them trying to mold me into 'WM' material. Good for your hubby!!!!
