Too much of a good thing

I have been in my house since Wednesday morning. Now, normally this wouldn't be a problem. In fact, most of the time I choose to stay holed up here, but now that I know I can'tget out, I'm GOING CRAZY. Seriously.

I even planned on going to church tomorrow - that's how nutso I am right now. But Paul nixed that one for me. He says the roads are still nasty and I really shouldn't be out. I was begging him less than an hour ago to take me to a casino. I don't even have any money. I just want to be somewhere other than here.

It did warm up enough that the kids were able to play in the snow today without fear of frost bite and hypothermia. That was a nice 30 minutes for me.

Well....I enjoyed it until the kids left me this in the foyer:

The mom in me can't enjoy a snow day for too long.

I'm guessing that the dripping boots are at the bottom of the pile.

We have NO snow. My kids go out and karate-kick the trees to send a shower of needle-sharp icicles down onto their upturned faces. It's all fun and games until somebody loses an eye.

Our roads are fine. We can go anywhere...if the anywhere is Wal*Mart or the ER, because not many other places have power. We're getting down to 12 degrees tonight.

The snow is awesome, awesome, awesome! There is nothing like waking up to a day that is white. I love it! The kids loved it too. I did post a picture. Me, outside to play? Um, nope. I've been doing homework off and on... chatting, playing with myspace and talking with good friends. It's been a great break - so nice. I wonder if the kids will have school? The main roads here in town are fine its just the side roads. I'm curious about the back roads though....Hey, I found more GS stuff if you want it...
